This story is very special and close to our hearts. Our stories are usually fun and heart warming but with this one, we wanted to make a difference. We felt as though those who aren't in the fashion or retail industry do not believe our work really matters. From the outside looking in, it seems as though we just play dress up all day. We wanted to show that our work makes a difference, that what we do is valued and maybe even helps someone. Which began our thought process.
This particular story was inspired by those who stand up for what they believe in on a daily basis, whether it effects them personally or not. Our team started from "Made in America", these are American issues that have become a controversy in our daily lives. The more we researched different topics and issues to narrow down our selection, we just became angry. Angry with how prejudice, discriminating, and just flat out nasty our fellow citizens have become, Thus giving us our title, "Mad In America".
Let's face it: we all know someone who struggles day-to-day on these issues. Whether its your mother, brother, sister, cousin, best friend, neighbor, the kid who sits next to you in math class, or maybe even yourself; we're glad you're on our side.
We hope you enjoy this Story and you feel as though you have helped someone feel like it's okay to be the person they're meant to be.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Story Team
